So today was the first day of my 22-day detox program. The goal is to remove processed foods, sugars and animal proteins. Today’s menu included:
Breakfast (so-so)
- Carrot/orange/mint/ginger juice
- Chai Rooibus tea
Lunch (tolerable)
- Kitchari
Dinner (tasty!)
- Brown Basamati Rice
- Up Beet Rolls (carrot & beets with an avocado/cilantro sauce rolled in beet greens)
Today I missed my coffee, breathsavers (good for after coffee) and my dark chocolate peanut M&Ms. I did scarf down a few figs to cure my sweet tooth.
Dave – being the good man that he is – managed to keep up without cheating.
We’re on our way!!
Looks like we’re about on the same schedule — I started to clean up my eating on Monday (given weekend travels) but didn’t really “start” until Tuesday.
