Detox – Day 1

So today was the first day of my 22-day detox program.  The goal is to remove processed foods, sugars and animal proteins.  Today’s menu included: 

Breakfast (so-so)

  • Carrot/orange/mint/ginger juice
  • Chai Rooibus tea

Lunch (tolerable)

  • Kitchari

Dinner (tasty!)

  • Brown Basamati Rice
  • Up Beet Rolls (carrot & beets with an avocado/cilantro sauce rolled in beet greens)

Today I missed my coffee, breathsavers (good for after coffee) and my dark chocolate peanut M&Ms.  I did scarf down a few figs to cure my sweet tooth. 

Dave – being the good man that he is – managed to keep up without cheating.
